Episode 17 – Big Cooldowns

This was a huge episode.  I researched as much as I could in preparation, but I know that wasn’t enough.  Therefore this will become a living blog.  If you see something wrong or missing, add a comment and I will fix as soon as possible.  When researching, I decided a cutoff of one minute or greater to  make the list.  There are a could of exceptions but I held true to that as best as I could.

Death Knights

  • Pan spec
    • Anti-magic shell – 5 sec absorb of magic dmg and immune to new harmful spells being applied (1 min CD)
    • Anti-Magic Zone – 10 sec 6.5yd bubble grants 60% magic reduction to party members (2min CD)
    • Icebound Fortitude – Avail to all specs – 20% reduced dmg for 8 sec; immune to stuns (3min cd)
    • Wraith walk – breaks roots, grants 70% movement buff for 3 sec.  Movement impairing effects suppressed. (45 sec CD)
  • Blood
    • Offense
      • Bonestorm – 115.9% of attack power to nearby enemies in shadow dmg every second for every 10 runic pwr spent (up to 10 sec); also heals for 2% max hp every tick that causes dmg. (1 min CD)
    • Defense
      • Vampiric Blood – +30% HP and bonus to heals/absorbs (1.5 min CD)
      • Blood Mirror – 20% of dmg taken redirected to affected tgt for 10 sec (2 min CD)
  • Frost
    • Offense
      • Pillar of Frost – +20% str and immunity to external movement effects (1 min CD)
      • Sindragosa’s Fury – artifact – Deals 2000% of attack power and slows movement by 50% for 10 secs. (5 min CD)
      • Obliteration – every frost strike triggers killing machine for 8 secs and obliterate costs 1 less rune (1.5 min CD)
      • Breath of Sindragosa – Continuously deal (287.5% of Attack power) Shadowfrost damage every 1 sec to enemies in a cone in front of you. Deals reduced damage to secondary targets. You will continue breathing until your Runic Power is exhausted or you cancel the effect [reduced by 40% in Pvp]. (2 min CD)

      • Netherwalk – increasing movement speed by 100% and becoming immune to damage, but unable to attack for 5 sec. (2 min cD)
      • Darkness – 8yd bubble grants a 20% chance to avoid dmg (3 min CD)
  • Vengeance

    • Displacer Beast – (not guardian)Teleports you up to 20 yards forward, activates Cat Form and increasing your movement speed by 50% for 2 sec. (30 sec cd)
  • Balance
    • Offense
      • Full Moon – Deals 1620% of Spell power as Astral damage to the target and reduced damage to all other nearby enemies, and resets Full Moon to become New Moon.  (not a CD per say, but takes build-up time) (15 sec recharge)
      • Incarnation – An improved Moonkin Form that increases the damage of all your spells by 35% and causes your Lunar Strike and Solar Wrath to generate 50% additional Astral Power. (3 min cD)
      • Celestial Alignment – Celestial bodies align, increasing the damage of all your spells by 30%, and increasing the Astral Power generated by Lunar Strike and Solar Wrath by 50%. Lasts 15 sec. (3 min CD)

      • Incarnation – reduces the cooldown on all melee damage abilities and Growl to 1.5 sec, causes Mangle to hit up to 3 targets, and increases armor by 15% (3 min CD)
      • Rage of Sleeper – Unleashes the rage of Ursoc for 10 sec, preventing 25% of all damage you take and reflecting (225% of Attack power) Nature damage back at your attackers (1.5 min CD)

      • Frenzied Regeneration – Heals you for 25% of all damage taken in the last 5 sec over 3 sec, minimum 5% of maximum health. (24 sec recharge/2 charges)

      • Incarnation – An improved Cat Form that allows the use of Prowl while in combat, causes Shred and Rake to deal damage as if stealth were active, reduces the cost of all Cat Form abilities by 60%, and increases maximum Energy by 50. (3 min CD)
      • Berserk – all Cat Form abilities cost 50% less and increases maximum Energy by 50 for 15 sec.  (3 min CD)

      • Tranquility – 40 yd AOE Heal for [5 * (180% of Spell power)] over 8 sec. Healing increased by 100% when not in a raid. (3 min CD)
      • Incarnation – increases healing done by 15%, increasing armor by 120%, and granting protection from Polymorph effects.  Functionality of Rejuvenation, Wild Growth, Regrowth, and Entangling Roots is enhanced. (3 min CD)

      • Ironbark – Reduce all damage taken to target by 20% for 12 sec. (1.5 min CD)
      • Innervate – Friendly target’s spells don’t cost mana for 10 sec. (3 min CD)

 

Hunters

    • Aspect of the Turtle – Deflects all attacks and reduces all damage you take by 30% for 8 sec, but you cannot attack (3 min CD)
    • Exhilaration – Heal hunter for 30% and pet 100% of max health (2 min CD)

      • Aspect of the wild – Grants you and your pet 10 Focus per 1 sec and 10% increased critical strike chance on all attacks for 10 sec (2 min CD)
      • Stampede – Summon a herd of stampeding animals from the wilds around you that deal damage to your enemies for 12 sec (3 min CD)

    • Time warp – increases haste by 30% for all party and raid members for 40 sec. (5 min CD)
    • Ice Block – immune to dmg for 10 sec, unable to attack, move or cast (4 min CD)
    • Mirror Image – Creates 3 copies of you nearby, which cast spells and attack your enemies. Lasts 40 sec. (2min CD)
    • Temporal shield – Envelops you in a temporal shield for 6 sec. All damage taken while shielded will be instantly restored when the shield ends; cannot be cancelled. (45 Sec CD)
  • Arcane
    • Offense
      • Arcane Power – For 10 sec, you deal 30% more spell damage and your spells cost 30% less mana. (1.5 min CD)
      • Mark of Aluneth – Creates a rune around the target, inflicting ((120% of Spell power) * 6) Arcane damage over 6 sec, and then detonating for Arcane damage equal to 15% of your maximum mana (1 min CD)
      • Evocation – regen 100% of mana of 6 secs (channeled) (3min CD)
    • Defense
      • Greater Invis – Makes you invisible and untargetable for 20 sec, removing all threat. Any action taken cancels this effect. You take 60% reduced damage while invisible and for 3 sec after reappearing. (2min CD)
  • Fire
    • Offense
      • Combustion – Increases your critical strike chance by 100% and granting you Mastery equal to 50% your Critical Strike stat for 10 sec (2min CD)
    • Defense
      • Cauterize – Fatal damage instead brings you to 35% health and then burns you for 28% of your maximum health over 6 sec. While burning, movement slowing effects are suppressed and your movement speed is increased by 150%. This effect cannot occur more than once every 5 min. (5min CD)
      • Invis – Turns you invisible over 3 sec, reducing threat each second. While invisible, you are untargetable by enemies. Lasts 20 sec. 5 min CD (5min CD)
  • Frost
    • Offense
      • Icy veins – Accelerates your spellcasting for 20 sec, granting 30% haste and preventing damage from delaying your spellcasts. (3 min CD)
      • Cold snap – Resets the cooldown of your Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, Ice Barrier, and Ice Block. (5min CD)

      • Zen Meditation – Reduces all damage taken by 60% for 8 sec. Moving, being hit by a melee attack, or taking another action will cancel this effect. (5 min CD)
      • Exploding Keg – Hurls a flaming keg at the target location, dealing (900% of Attack power) Fire damage to nearby enemies and causing them to miss their melee attacks for the next 3 sec. (1.25min CD)
      • Fortifying Brew – Turns your skin to stone for 15 sec, increasing your current and maximum health by 20%, increasing the damage you delay with Stagger by an additional 25%, and reducing all damage you take by 20%. (7 min CD)
  • Mistweaver
    • Offense
      • Invoke Chi-J, red crane – Summons an effigy of Chi-Ji, the Red Crane for 45 sec. Chi-Ji heals nearby allies with Crane Heal for (135% of Attack power). (Jade Serpent Statue is the better choice) (3min CD)
      • Mana tea – Reduces the mana cost of your spells by 50% for 10 sec. (Not good in PvP) (1.5min CD)
      • Life Cocoon – Encases the target in a cocoon of Chi energy for 12 sec, absorbing [(((Spell power * 31.164) + 0)) * (1 + Versatility)] damage and increasing all healing over time received by 50%. (3min CD)
        • Chrysalis (PvP Talent) – reduces the CD of Life Cocoon by 90 Sec. (making Life Cocoon 1.5 min cd)
      • Revival – Heals all party and raid members within 40 yards for (720% of Spell power) and clears them of all harmful Magical, Poison, and Disease effects. (3min CD)
    • Defense
      • Diffuse Magic – Reduces magic damage you take by 60% for 6 sec, and transfers all currently active harmful magical effects on you back to their original caster if possible. (Fantastic for facing Rot Comps in arena) (1.5min CD)
      • Dampen Harm – Reduces all damage you take by 20% to 50% for 10 sec, with larger attacks being reduced by more. (2 min CD)

 

  • Windwalker
    • Offense
      • Touch of Death – After 8 sec, the target will take damage equal to 50% of your maximum health, reduced against players. (2min CD)
      • Storm, Earth, and Fire – Elemental spirits summoned, mirroring all of the Monk’s attacks. The Monk and spirits each do 45% of normal damage and healing. (1.5 min CD)
      • Invoke Xuen, the White tiger – for 45 sec Xuen attacks your primary target, and strikes 3 enemies within 10 yards every 1 sec with Tiger Lightning for (40% of Attack power) Nature damage [reduced by 40% in pvp]. (3 min CD)
      • Grapple Weapon – Fire off a rope spear, grappling the target’s weapons and shield. Returning them to you for 6 secs.  (1min CD)
      • Serenity – Enter an elevated state of mental and physical serenity for 8 sec, While in this state, you deal 40% increased dmg and healing, and all Chi consumers are free and have a 50% reduced CD. (replaces storm, earth,fire) (1.5 min CD)
    • Defense
      • Touch of Karma – All damage you take is redirected to the enemy target as Nature damage over 6 sec. Damage cannot exceed 50% of your maximum health. Lasts 10 sec.
        Diffuse Magic – Reduces magic damage you take by 60% for 6 sec, and transfers all currently active harmful magical effects on you back to their original caster if possible. (Fantastic for facing Rot Comps in arena)
      • Dampen Harm – Reduces all damage you take by 20% to 50% for 10 sec, with larger attacks being reduced by more. (2 min CD)
      • Zen Moment – Reduces all dmg taken by 20% and increases incoming healing by 20% for 10 sec. Each attack that triggers Combo Strikes reduces this effect by 5%. (45 sec CD)

    • Divine Shield  – Protects you from all damage and spells for 8 sec (5 min CD)
    • Lay on Hands – Heals a friendly target for an amount equal to your maximum health (10 min CD)
    • Blinding Light – blinding enemies within 10 yards, dealing (270% of Spell power)% Holy damage and causing them to wander disoriented for 6 sec (1.5 min CD)

      • Avenging wrath – increases healing done by 35% and your critical strike chance by 20% for 20 sec (2 min CD)
      • Holy avenger – Icreases your haste by 30% and your Holy Shock healing by 30% for 20 sec. (1.5 min CD)
      • Aura Mastery – Empowers your chosen aura and increases its radius to 40 yards for 6 sec (ex: Aura of Mercy has no target limit and healing increased by 100%) (3 min CD)

      • Eye for an eye – Reduces Physical damage you take by 35%, and instantly counterattacks any enemy that strikes you in melee combat for 170% Physical damage.  Lasts 10 sec. (1 min CD)

 

Priests

      • Rapture – For the next 8 sec, Power Word: Shield has no cooldown.
      • Power Infusion – Increases haste by 25% and reducing the mana cost of all spells by 20% for 20 secs
      • Dark Archangel – Increases your damage, and the damage of all allies with your Atonement by 15% for 8 sec.
    • Defense
      • Pain Suppresion – Reduces all damage taken by a friendly target by 40% for 8 sec. Castable while stunned.
      • Archangel – Refreshes the duration of your Atonement on all allies when cast.  Increases your healing and absorption effects by 30% for 15 sec.
      • Power Word: Barrier – Reduces all damage taken by 25%, and you resist all pushback while casting spells for 10 sec (3 Min CD)
  • Holy
    • Offense
      • Divine hymn – Heals all party or raid members within 40 yards for [5 * (144% of Spell power)] over 8 sec, and increases healing done to them by 10% for 8 sec. Healing increased by 100% when not in a raid (3 Min CD)
      • Holy word: chastise – Chastises the target for (450% of Spell power) Holy damage (with Censures talent stuns/incapacitates them for 5 sec) (1 min CD)
      • Symbol of hope – all cast spells for 0 mana for 12 sec (6 minute CD)
    • Defense
      • Guardian spirit – guardian spirit to watch over the friendly target for 10 sec, increasing healing received by 40% and preventing the target from dying by sacrificing itself.  This sacrifice terminates the effect and heals the target for 40% of maximum health. Castable while stunned. (4 min CD)
      • Apeothisis – increase the effects of Serendipity by 200% and reduce the cost of Holy Words by 100% for 12 sec. (3 min cd)
  • Shadow
    • Offense
      • Shadow fiend – Summons a shadowy fiend to attack the target for 12 sec. (3 min CD)
      • Void form?
    • Defense
      • Dispersion – 6 sec, reducing all damage you take by 60%, but you are unable to attack or cast spells. Castable while stunned, feared, or silenced. Clears all snare and movement impairing effects when cast, and makes you immune to them while dispersed (2min CD)
      • Vampiric embrace – Fills you with the embrace of Shadow energy for 15 sec, causing you to heal a nearby ally for 40% of any single-target Shadow spell damage you deal. (3 min CD)
      • Void Shift – You and the currently targeted party or raid member swap health percentages. Increases the lower health percentage of the two to 25% if below that amount. (5 min CD)

 

Rogues

  • Pan spec
    • Vanish – Enter stealth while in combat. First 3 sec after vanishing, damage and harmful effects received will not break stealth. Also breaks movement impairing effects. (2 min CD)
    • Cloak of shadows – Instantly removing all harmful spell effects, and resist all harmful spells for 5 sec (1.5 min CD)
    • Sprint – Increases your movement speed by 70% for 8 sec. Usable while stealthed. (2 min cd)
    • Blind – Blinds the target, causing it to wander disoriented for 1 min. Damage will interrupt the effect. Limit 1. (2 min cd)
  • Assassin
    • Offense
      • Vendetta – Marks an enemy for death for 20 sec, increasing the damage your abilities and auto attacks deal to the target by 30%, and making the target visible to you even through concealments such as stealth and invisibility. (2 min CD)
    • Defense
      • Evasion – Increases dodge chance by 100% for 10 sec. (2 min CD)
  • Outlaw
    • Offense
      • Adrenaline Rush – Increases your Energy regeneration rate by 100% and your attack speed by 20% for 15 sec. (3min cd)
      • Curse of the Dreadblades – Invoke artifact, causing each Saber Slash or Pistol Shot to fill your combo points. However, The Dreadblades will consume 5% of your current health when you use a finishing move for the next 12 sec.
    • Defense
      • Riposte – 100% chance to parry for 10 sec, and each time you parry an attack you will riposte the target for 100% Physical damage. Cannot occur more often than once per 1 sec. (2 min CD)
  • Subtlety
    • Offense
      • Shadow Blades – auto attacks to deal Shadow damage and abilities that generate combo points to generate 1 additional combo point. Lasts 15 sec. (3 min CD)
      • Shadow Dance – Allows use of all Stealth abilities and grants all the combat benefits of Stealth for 3 sec. Effect not broken from taking damage or attacking (synergizes well with Master of Subtlety talent [Attacks from Shadow Dance and for 5 sec after deal 10% more damage]) (1 min CD)
      • Goremaw’s Bite – Artifact –  inflicting (1000% + 1000%) Shadow damage and reducing movement speed by 60% for 8 sec. Grants 30 Energy over 6 sec. (1 min CD)
    • Defense
      • Evasion – Increases dodge chance by 100% for 10 sec. (2 min CD)

 

Shamans

  • Pan spec
    • Astral Shift – 40% less damage for 8 sec. (1.5 min CD)
    • Bloodlust/Heroism – Increases Haste by 30% for all party and raid members for 40 sec. (5 min CD)
  • Elemental
    • Offense
      • Fire Elemental – Calls forth a Greater Fire Elemental (5min CD)
      • Ascendance – Transform into a Flame Ascendant for 15 sec, replacing Chain Lightning with Lava Beam, removing the cooldown on Lava Burst, and increasing the damage of Lava Burst by an amount equal to your critical strike chance (3 min CD)
      • Elemental Mastery –  20% haste for 20 sec. (2 min cd)
    • Defense
      • Earth Elemental – Calls forth a Greater Earth Elemental to protect you and your allies for 1 min. (5 min CD)
  • Enhancement
    • Offense
      • Feral Spirit – summon 2 wolves that aid you in battle for 15 sec. They are immune to movement-impairing effect
      • Ascendance – Transform into an Air Ascendant for 15 sec, generating 12 Maelstrom per second, and transforming your auto attack and Stormstrike into Wind attacks, which bypass armor and have a 30 yd range.
    • Defense
      • Spirit Walk – Removes all movement impairing effects and increases your movement speed by 60% for 8 sec.
  • Restoration
    • Offense
      • Healing Tide Totem – Summons a totem 10 sec, which pulses every 2 sec, healing all party or raid members within 40 yards for (96% of Spell power).
      • Spirit Link Totem – Summons a totem at the target location for 20 sec, which reduces damage taken by all party and raid members within 10 yards by 10%. Every 1 sec the health of all affected players is redistributed, such that all players are at the same percentage of maximum health
      • Spirit-Walkers Grace – permitting movement while casting Shaman spells for 15 sec. Castable while casting. (2 min CD)

    • Unending Resolve – Hardens your skin, reducing all damage you take by 40% and granting immunity to interrupt and silence effects for 8 sec. (3 min CD)
    • Soulstone – Targets resurrect with 60% health and 20% mana. (10 min CD) (Not usable in RBGs)
    • Nether Ward – shield that lasts 5 sec, reflecting all harmful spells cast on you (45 secs CD)
    • Dark Pact – Sacrifices 20% of your demon’s current health to shield you for 400% of the sacrificed health for 20 sec. If you have no demon, your health is sacrificed instead. Usable while suffering from control impairing effects. (1 min CD)
  • Affliction
    • Offense
      • Soul Harvest – Increases your damage and your pets’ damage by 20%. Lasts 15 sec, increased by 2 sec for each target afflicted by you up to a maximum of 35 sec. (2 min CD)
    • Defense
  • Demonology
    • Offense
      • Call Fel Lord – Summon a fel lord to guard the location for 30 sec. Any enemy that comes within 6 yards will suffer high damage and be stunned for 1 sec (1.5 min CD)
      • Call ObserverSummons a demonic Observer to keep a watchful eye over the area for 20 sec.  Anytime an enemy within 20 yards casts a harmful magical spell, the Observer will instantly deal 5% of the target’s total health in Shadow damage.  (1.5 min CD)

    • Berserking rage – removing and granting immunity to Fear, Sap, and Incapacitate effects for 6 sec (1 min CD)
    • Battle cry – 100% increased critical strike chance for 5 sec. (1 min CD)
  • Arms
    • Offense
      • Focussed Rage – your next Mortal Strike, increasing its damage by 30%, stacking up to 3 times. Unaffected by the global cooldown. (1.5 sec CD) … watch for the stacks = big dmg
    • Defense
      • Die by the sword – increases your parry chance by 100% and reduces all damage you take by 30% for 8 sec. (3 min cd)
      • Defensive stance – reduces all damage you take by 20%, and all damage you deal by 10%. Lasts until cancelled. (10 sec CD/lockout)
      • Commanding shout – 15% increased HP to all party in 30 yd for 10 Sec (3 min CD)
      • Intimidating Shout – targeted enemy to cower in fear, and up to 5 additional enemies within 8 yards to flee. Targets are disoriented for 8 sec (1.5 min CD)
  • Fury
    • Offense
      • Dragon roar – dealing (162% of Attack power) damage to all enemies within 8 yards and increasing all damage you deal by 16% for 6 sec. Dragon Roar ignores all armor and always critically strikes. (25sec CD)
    • Defense
      • Commanding shout – 15% increased HP to all party in 30 yd for 10 Sec (3 min CD)
      • Enraged regeneration – Reduces damage taken by 30%, and Bloodthirst restores an additional 20% health. Usable while stunned. Lasts 8 sec. (2 min CD)

      • Demoralizing shout – all enemies within 10 yards, reducing the damage they do to you by 20% for 8 sec. (1.5 min CD)

      • Spell reflection – reflecting spells cast on you and reducing magical damage you take by 30%. Lasts 5 sec or until a spell is reflected. (25 sec)

 

Lastly – Row 1 honour talents

  • Medallion – Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character while in PvP combat. (2 min CD)
